Linguistic Software Tester (Freelancer on-site/at home)

SDL Language Solutions (www.SDL.com) is currently seeking on-demand, project based freelance Linguistic Software Testers who are native to a language other than English.

Currently seeking native speakers of:
Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese

Key Responsibilities
o Perform Quality Assurance tasks for a wide variety of translated software, web and hand-held applications and devices.
o Report linguistic and/or functional errors
o Complete the assigned tasks and be punctual.

Qualification
o You must be a native-language speaker – Korean or Japanese or Chinese (Simplify) or Chinese (Traditional)
o Welcome everyone regardless age or gender who graduated from grade 12 above (High school)
o Live in Bangkok Thailand or Anywhere but can come to be trained for 2 days before working
o An excellent and up-to-date understanding of your language, its usage and regional conventions.
o English skill - Good command (Can read, reply e-mail and converse)
o Typing on a US keyboard in your native language
o Unrestricted Thailand work authorization

Additional qualification (Preferred)
o Linguistic Quality Assurance Experience is a plus
o Translation, Edition, Proofreading Experiences is a plus
o Familiarity with the terminology used in smart phones, database administration, medical devices, electronic banking, online shopping, digital cameras, and current commercial and consumer applications on the Web (Windows and/or Mac.) is a plus
